Maybe a trip to Charleston SC in the spring to visit friends. headed to Idaho this summer to do a raft trip on the Salmon River. Will then spend 4 days near Sandpoint ID hiking and cycling. One night in Gardiner MT. Then a drive across the Beartooth highway on our way to Custer SD. 3 days of riding and hiking in the Black Hills. The day we head for home we will do a ride in the Badlands NP. We did that a few years ago, very cool place to ride.

Our grandkiddos are over about once a month or so. We had a new granddaughter born 1/1/24. Miss Violet😁

If you need to do more looking and are open to areas outside SL let me know. I can show you some very nice areas not far from SL.

As of this morning at 7 am they reported 40 inches had fallen in the past 12 hours. I cleaned out at 5 am and again at 9. At 9 we had another 9-10 inches. The heaviest snow is north of home now but it’s been snowing there all day. At least I know what I’ll be doing tonight.

Yeah we got a dusting. Maybe 3 feet overnight and still falling. It’s January on Tug Hill😁

Just drove through 17 miles of heavy lake effect. The drive home should be a joy😞

No but there is between -20 and -40, and it gets that cold there😉

It’s an old mill town with not much industry. A few logging companies but they are struggling too.

Because of his health and limited mobility he was using the den as his room. We started cleaning that out on Saturday. I think that’s more to declutter the house rather than erase things that make her sad.

She is doing well. He hasn’t been in good health for some time so it was not totally unexpected. They would have celebrated 70 years of marriage next month🙂

Sweet! I grew up about 25 miles north of SL. I get up that way often. Last Saturday in August is the Pat Stratton ride. Great event!

We got out for the years first ski today😁

He had dealt with numerous health issues the past 10 years so this was not totally unexpected. My mom found him semi- unresponsive Wednesday morning and he was taken by ambulance to hospital and passed around noontime. I will miss him greatly but am also thankful he is no longer hurting. We had a memorial service on Saturday.

Saranac Lake is a nice town. It’s always been a bedroom town for Lake Placid and as costs have gone up in Placid so have they in Saranac. The area offers a lot for outdoor rec. hiking, biking and paddling being the highest used. Are you planning to relocate fulltime or seasonally?

We had some big gusts last night. No power since midnight. Didn’t see any damage when I left this morning but will need to check the woods tonight.
