My last comment, on Yahoo Finance, was about an article's claims the market fell today because the Fed didn't raise it's Prime Rate, as expected, and may raise one more time this year, as expected: The expected occurred. The market probably dropped for other reasons. The fact that rising fossil fuel prices is the driving force behind increases to the inflation rate should not provoke a Fed hike since a hike will have no effect on OPEC production cuts that trigger the price increases. It would be like increasing the cost of bathing suits as summer approaches to try to stop the weather from getting warmer.
