Thaddeus Kosciuszko Posted December 31, 2013 Share #1 Posted December 31, 2013 For some reason I received a number of books as Christmas presents. I must have behaved better than I thought, or at least covered up my misdeeds better than I thought. I liked this book as it concentrated on Ike's presidency and his political (vs. military) career. A story of one man's crusade (obsession?) to find the remains of WWII aviators, or to at least determine what happened to them. The engineer/scientist who designed the dam busting bomb and the airplane modifications needed to deliver it was a genius. From prototype to blown dams in less than six months, at a cost of about half the planes and men sent on the mission.
Ralphie ★ Posted December 31, 2013 Share #2 Posted December 31, 2013 Nice reading, Thaddeus. I am starting to appreciate history a little more lately. Of course it is definitely history light.
