  1. Meru is good too. The Rescue was really cool.
  2. Premiered 100 years ago. I did not know the opening clarinet solo was improvised and Gershwin loved it so he wrote it into the piece.
  3. Fear and I have an uneasy alliance. Climbing is the sport I use to shine light in the dark corners. There is a familiar cadence to this sport for me after all these years. It is a discipline I can lean up against and trust in. Gravity always wins. The rules are clear, if unforgiving.
  4. I never had a problem with BoSox or Nate, but Beanz was off the rails.
  5. I can't do it. She says it's the best because if you miss your hold it's a soft landing....assuming you have a good belay.
  6. I expect this will do well. It's the town rec center.
  7. Or Orwell for the opposite approach http://www.booksatoz.com/witsend/tea/orwell.htm Tenthly, one should pour tea into the cup first. This is one of the most controversial points of all; indeed in every family in Britain there are probably two schools of thought on the subject. The milk-first school can bring forward some fairly strong arguments, but I maintain that my own argument is unanswerable. This is that, by putting the tea in first and stirring as one pours, one can exactly regulate the amount of milk whereas one is liable to put in too much milk if one does it the other way round.
  8. Try this https://dorothysteas.co.uk/blog/according-to-science-should-you-put-the-milk-in-first Based on the research conducted by Dr Stapley of Loughborough University, it has been confirmed that putting the milk in before the hot tea is the correct way to make a brew. Sorry to those of you who have been putting the milk in last all this time, you’ve been doing it wrong! This somewhat bold claim is all down to the milk heating unevenly when poured into hot tea.
  9. I wish I could find it. I read the book a long time ago, maybe 15-20 years ago. I'm sure I lost or sold the book.
  10. She used to teach rock and ice climbing to woman. She was great at it.
  11. Doubtful. The essay was great. A bunch of woman said tea tastes better when you add the milk first. The husbands were a bunch of scientists and they argued there would be no difference in taste. So they tested the theory and the woman were right.
  12. There is a climbing gym opening here soon. I tried to convince my GF to apply for the job running it. She did not. She would have been awesome at it.
  13. There is a book with an essay explaining the difference. According to the essay, milk first then tea.
  14. Maybe if the players were on roller skates, the game would be more exciting.
  15. My audio is fine. Streaming in WY. We just got the interwebs about a year ago.
  16. They were on roller skates. Loved that.
  17. Is Maxx's son pregnant? @maddmaxx Hoping for a good outcome for your son.
  18. It felt good to hang up the skis for a day and turn the cranks.

    CJ is famous!

I'm happy to represent him. My rates are reasonable. Can he ski?
  20. Beef and beet meatloaf, roasted potatoes, and broccoli. I didn't have ketchup so I made some.
  21. Basics-Use oil or clarified butter. Saute your ingredients. Let's say onions, mushroom, bacon. Add your eggs(3 eggs mixed just enough to combine the whites and yoke). Swirl the pan. As the eggs start to cook, use a spatula to move the cooked eggs and allow the liquid to hit flow onto the pan and cook. Keep swirling and moving the eggs. Don't let them stick. When the omelette has formed you can stop and let it rest. Remove it from the heat. Add cheese if you like. Cover it if you like a dry omelette. I do not. Fold the four corners toward the middle and roll the omelette onto a plate from the opposite end of the pan handle. It will look beautiful.
