  1. Yikes. That is more than I have paid for every car I have ever owned combined.
  2. The building where I live installed mailboxes in the lobby and said the PO would deliver our mail. USPS said, yeah we don't deliver mail in town. For months the building mgr said they were negotiating delivery, then they just quit mentioning it.
  3. I'm not a fan of loud tires. Snow and ice is a big deal here so good tires are key. Some people switch to snow tires for winter, but I don't have a place to store extra tires.
  4. I have Geolander's on my Crosstrek and I'm not wild about them. Mostly, it's the snow and ice where they are weak. They've been fine on pavement and only occasionally lose traction on dirt and gravel. The Outback is pretty sweet. Have they announced pricing yet?
  5. I'm trying to find something that will work well on pavement and not be too rough and loud, but give good traction on dirt/gravel and in the snow. We get a lot of snow and the chain law is in effect quite often on the pass.
  6. I'm considering these for my next tires. Good for off-road and winter.
  7. It's a little box at the post office. They gave me a key. My mail gets shoved, crumpled, and stuffed into it. Once a year I have to provide proof that I live here to keep the box.
  8. I like how the cop handled it. Polite, direct, and then we're done.
  9. @Razors EdgeThis is the shit. Even roadies want to ride fatbikes and ski.
  10. I wasn't recommending a jersey, just trying to show you not all jerseys have zippers. This is not a recent development.
  11. I would invite you to join the world of the mountain biker.
  12. It has two kitchens and an apt on the lower level.
  13. Soup for poop. That's a heckuva deal right there.
  14. Well it is a Me Me world.
  15. I worked in a hospital dietary dept. Some of the food was embarrassing. We did let people order anything though. You could skip the menu items and just write hamburger and fries and we'd make it for you. The cafeteria food for staff was pretty good. Chimichanga day was a blowout.
  16. She is sitting of the floor of grocery store in front a stack of fake butter. When do you call the cops and have her locked up? Didn't Ladybird do a lot of work with wildflowers and roadsides etc?
  17. um, sorry, but WTF?
  18. Open that box and you can poop in your garage if needed.
  19. I hope all of your stuff is in the front yard.
  20. How many cars do you own? Start teaching Karate lessons and all of your cars will be waxed.
  21. Who said buy a frame only? Not me. Your parts might not be compatible. If you like the Jamis, fix it. Take it to a frame builder and have them weld a new hanger on it. Do nothing and make it a SS. Problem solvers makes a replacement hanger, but it's probably not a great long term solution. Their are so many options for a steel frame bike that is comfortable and upright. And like @ChrisLsaid, any shop should be able to modify a fit for you. I've done it myself. It's not expensive or difficult. Weld a hanger on the Jamis and replace the stem. Problem solved for under $200. Shops have software to plug in your bike's geometry and show you what a new stem would look like.
