WoUB and I were married. She hasn't thrown me out yet, so I've got that going for me. We spent the morning at the MIM, then went out to Carefree and had lunch at a nice little Greek restaurant. All in all a pretty nice, and low key, day.
I've always thought of smart in an academic sort of way, To me, clever is more about creative out-of-the-box problem solving. I've seen smart people get stumped because they can't color outside of the lines. I've also seen clever people over-engineer a solution when the smart thing is to just go by the book.
We have a ton of concerts in our theater. Tomorrow night I'm going to see Jason Moran (jazz piano). The cool thing about this concert is the piano he will be playing. It's one Thelonious Monk used to jam on. If you look close at the bench you can see the burn marks where he used to lay his cigarette down while he was playing. When we acquired it there were also wine stains on it and it was full of cat hair. A cat lady had it in her apart for a few decades...
Screw the RRHOF. Next time you're in the Phoenix area I'll take you to the MIM. We make the RRHOF look like armature hour.
This invitation is extended to all forum members who come to town. Being both a member and a volunteer, I can take two people in for free and can get half price passes for a few more.
