Thats the way I wanted to go, but for just shy of 1k, why not get him something better than a $500 bike. We looked at Giants, a giant hardtail today.. he liked it, but was not keen on the 29's... also I was not keen on the 2k price tag.. LOL His main must have was the dropper post!

Went with tow from online. They should be here on Saturday Both are Polygon's. I was able to try one out from someone in the local club near here.. also could not beat the deal for what you get. The D7 rides like a dream over roots and rocks, and I decided to get my kid the D6 SE

Gas is a thing that has issues when the power is out for sure.. lucky in emergency times the city I work for will allow us to grab a can from out pumps. Emergency backup generators run it if there is an outage. I just have the company take it from my check. we get a better deal since they buy in bulk.. now filling a vehicle is a NO NO

They really don't have the power output you think they do. I was shocked to hear my neighbors are not allowed to collect power for outages. their panels just feed the grid.. If the power goes out, they also have no power.

The one I got was $900 and puts out 7.5k on gas and 6.9k (or something like it) on propane. The noise it makes is fine with me.. just not the neighbors. But it lets people know I got power and they don't..LOL The one year we lost power during spring from a storm. The neighbors were mad and told my it is just too noisy and I don't need to run it all day and night. On my way to get more gas for it, I actually listened as I drove slow.. I was the only one with a generator for blocks.. technically everyone else was more pissed cause they were not ready for something like this.. LOL

That day is coming in a few more days.. I think I found the one I like, but its not a 9 speed.. they do offer it on the lower model, but I will suffer with an 11 speed.

The kid is a college student and could not do an honest days work (riding around in a truck looking for something to do). Don't get me wrong on kids... we have 4 people working for us that are under 24 years old.. only one is worth a shit, the others are just there to waste time before having to find a new job I think.. I am honestly thinking of starting to stop at local businesses and pick up applications for the three, But I'm sure if they can stay off their phones long enough to fill out a piece of paper. -
A new generator.. Drug my old one out of the garage and three of the hoses were dry rotted( fixed it), was leaking fuel from the fuel shut off, and decided it was time to toss the 12 year old monster of soon to be flaming death... So I wondered over to Lowes and got on that was a double fuel.. runs on propane and/or gasoline. After unpacking and noticing it was double the size, I hooked it up to a propane tank and gave it a whirl. It is just as loud as the old one, but it is going to be nice to be able to choose what fuel I will put in it.. I kind of like the propane since I know it w ill not go bad like gas.

Seriously that person showing up to an interview with a parent needs to be bullied by the whole company if they are hired. We had a kid show up for an internship and since his mom is the one that made it possible, he was just a target for jokes. That and his ass fell asleep at the computer doing new hire videos. His mom is trying to get him another internship with us for the summer... I don't think it is going to fly... we already know what kind of worker he is.. -
