MickinMD ★ Posted September 7, 2019 Share #1 Posted September 7, 2019 The Maryland Terrapins defeated Howard 79-0 in week 1 and 21st ranked Syracuse 63-20 today, setting a new modern NCAA Division I record of 142 points in the first two games of the season. Those of us who attended branch U of MD colleges that have no football teams like my UMBC, we generally call the Terps our football team. They should demolish Temple next week, then their 4th game, home vs Penn State at 8 pm on Fri. 9/27. The game is so big, Maryland has already cancelled classes that day. The bastards are broadcasting the game on pay TV FS1, but there's a betting network online that might carry it for free, http://vipbox.biz/football
BuffJim Posted September 7, 2019 Share #2 Posted September 7, 2019 That’s disappointing. Living a hundred miles down the road, we have a lot of Syracuse fans around. My Alma Mater, UB plays Penn State tonight. Penn State will be itching for revenge when they play next, and Maryland won’t know what hit them. 2Far ★ Posted September 7, 2019 Share #3 Posted September 7, 2019 That's THE reason early season polls are largely meaningless. Congrats to the Terps. UMBC doesn't have a football team? Since always?
