That really would not work for us, as we have so many photos stored on internal and external hard drives. In this case, I searched for bird, found one and traced back from there.  Luckily I found a bird photo that happened to be in that file.

If you knew about when the pic was taken, you could sort by date?

This was a list of 'birds in order', so it included many dates over several years.  This list included images that also occur in other files.  We found it, and that what counts. Thanks for your suggestions.
