  1. He pulled Pop around the lobby like as sled dog.
  2. Brought my Pop's dog, Century, to visit him today. Century is as large as he looks.

Get one for your and Martha's cars. They have been extremely helpful for us.

Oh, go to the tag office and pick up the paperwork for a hanging handicap tag. Then take it to your doctor for their signature, and back to the tag office. You can move the hanging tags from car to car.

1-877-222-VETS http://www.va.gov/GERIATRICS/Guide/LongTermCare/Paying_for_Long_Term_Care.asp ^^^^ Look into the VA. I know they provide some assistance to reservists. Pop was called up in WWII, so I don't know the details for the reserves.

    about my dad.

We are going the hospice route when Pop comes home from rehab in a few weeks. Hospice is no longer just end of life care and can be utilized for years if needed. If your dad is a vet the VA also provides elder support. we can't get 24 hour hospice though because mother is still quite active and healthy, so we are also hiring a nurse as well. Also my brother and I both live on the estate and our sister is close by. Hospice is covered by Medicade and will provide such things as a hospital bed and wheelchairs. If y'all haven't already, you and your brother should look into having your folks' powers of attorney. One bathroom in their home should be converted to handicap standards, roll-in shower if possible, lots of grab bars and the like if they don't move. <--you may want to consider this for your own home now even. A lift lazy boy is a godsend. PM me if I may be of any help.
  7. Used to be one here but they took it out. Took out the merry-go-crush-you-underneath, and the plastic pigs on a big spring too.
  8. I read in my own voice, so to y'all, yes. Who knew everyone in A Sing of Fire and Ice had a drawl?

  10. This is what Goolge yields when asked about deep fried Kool-Aid.
  11. I became a photographer for y'all's safty. It is a much more beautiful world when I'm behind the camera than when in front of it.

You have my sympathies, Jeff. Hope all turns out well.
  13. Earl Grey with cream for hot tea. Luzianne brewed with a pinch of baking soda, just enough sugar to change the taste, and a wedge of lime, is the perfect iced tea.
  14. I've had my current glasses frame for 35 years now.
  15. That's better than saying, "I spent 12 years in KF 6 months ago." Atlanta is like that. Atlanta needs a good brew pub too.
  16. My grandmother lived with two of her sisters throughout their lives. Their kitchen was a Roman Triumvirate. Each had their own set of cast iron. Certain dishes were only prepared with one of the sister's skillet. Each had absorbed its own flavor profile.
  17. My sister owns a clothing shop. She carries a brand of boxer shorts that retail for $75 a pair. Can't keep them on the shelves. Baffles me as to why they sell out so quickly.
  18. North Georgia, and the coast both rock. South Georgia west of the coast sucks. We call it the gnat belt. It's like the Depression but with cell phone coverage.
  19. They don't. You have to deal with it yourself around here.

    Drained dry

9° tonight, 9° tomorrow, I heat with wood. I'm not crawling under a frozen house to fix busted pipes. Just took a shower, and then shut off the water to the house and drained the plumbing system.
