    I was on a plane from 1-4 pm ET on Sunday. Instead of showing me Steelers vs. Titans I got Fins/Jets. *although that might have been the better of the two games, and I got to see the last two minutes of the Steelers win on NFL Network while waiting to deplane.

    Hope it turns out to be nothing. Every now and then I appreciate my office’s mask mandate. Are tests easily available where you are? I’ve heard they are scarcer to come by recently due to an increased demand.

    Jimmy Johnson transformed the way people thought about defensive football. Speed on D won championships at Miami and the Dallas. I’m not sure Urban Meyer ever had such a revolutionary impact on the game at any level, even with multiple championships. Urban will have a fine life. He’s rich, and he’ll surround himself with people enamored with fraternizing with an ex-NCAA coach.

    My kids are just launching. 18 and 20. Right now I’m encouraging home time with meals, and some pocket money with chores. I imagine in a few years I’ll give gifts of family vacations somewhere nice that they wouldn’t be able to afford on their own. I’m helping to pay with their schooling, and would contribute to home purchasing, grand kid’s 529 and/or small business start-up. But not to support a spending lifestyle they can’t maintain with their own wages.

    It needs to keep it’s host alive long enough to be spread to others, but by the end of the day Covid doesn’t care if it’s host recovers or not.

    Lots of reasons for successful college coaches not to turn to the pros. Although wasn’t Urban run out of Columbus for NCAA rules violations? Seems like a turd, to be honest.

    Test just before you leave. PCR tests are free and pretty easy to get most places. Turnover time is back to near 72 hours now, for places like Walgreens, but probably much faster in an airport (although probably not free there).

    Presumably you can get it a third time. I’m hoping my wife’s immunity from her October infection will hold until she can get her booster. And my booster immunity holds until the January spike ends.

    That would have been my rule. I have so many work emails I barley try to keep on top of them. I have a “focused” email list that I reply to when needed, the others just stack up. Some day a real rain will fall and wash all the scum off the streets. Any my email inbox, too.
