    Yeah, although there’s obviously a lot more variation in used than new cars. And since the Kelly Blue Book was always a reference for used cars, the use of Car Max for new car buying seemed more revolutionary than it’s use in used car pricing.

    My wife has an LR4. They keep sending her trade in offers, but she’ll never want to get rid of her car. Unless if it’s for a G class Mercedes.

    I think Car Max is helping to level the playing field across all new cars. You can see what similarly equipped cars have sold for near you. Then you can judge if your quoted price is bad or good.

    Over the past few weeks while on my bike ride, I've noticed many people have been making delicious casseroles. It started after Ida did her damage, so I guess she gets the credit for making people do the right thing, instead of waiting to order take out.

    Idaho is now rationing hospital health care they are so overwhelmed with covid cases. And it isn’t because of their large minority population.

    I like peaty Scotch. But I’d rather buy an expensive bottle than a glass, if I’m paying. Even though I don’t think economics come to mind often once drinking scotch.

    I think to a point, they do. I believe 89% of people with an advanced degree are vaccinated, and college educated is in the lower 80%’s. Republicans overall are at 60%, but with rural and lower educated pulling those numbers down. African Americans and Latinos are getting vaccinated now at a much higher rate, the racial discrepancy is shrinking. I do think trust is an issue in those communities, but I also think access may have also played a role, initially. Fortunately, I don’t know anyone personally who died of covid. But my BIL’s family in rural central PA are largely unvaccinated, and several of them did get significantly ill.
