  1. I did a little reading up and it doesn’t appear running a plate without probable cause doesn’t violate a persons 4th amendment rights. Looks like it’s doable still.
  2. OK I’ll play... How many other cars had similarly tinted windows? This is FL, like AZ and CA really dark windows are a dime a dozen. What set this car apart from the others? Pulling a car over for tinted windows in Sunbelt states is basically saying I’ll pull them over first & find something later. Kinda like when we would cite them for excessive wear on their tires because everything else checked out clean. Hmm how’d we know that as they drove by???
  3. 32 mile beach ride with the missus. Santa Ana winds are blowing today so we hugged the coast where the winds are less severe. The last few miles home were a beotch though.
  4. The question is why did he run the tag in the first place? That’s the big question. iIRC LE needs probable cause to run a plate these days. In my day we just ran them randomly until we got a hit.
  5. I mentioned earlier spring has sprung here. The trees are blooming and the birds are singing their hearts out.
  6. I know that feeling. I responded to a domestic & handcuffed the first guy behind his back & sat him down. Then went to the other guy who looked like he got the worse of it. I call an ambulance, turn around & am like WTF where did he go?!!! I look down the street and the dude stepped through his cuffed hands so they were in front of him and took off. I chased after him, told him to stop but of course he didn’t... I’ll end the story there as some may not appreciate what happened next...
  7. Yeah the Dutch & Belgians are bonkers over their frites. Dutch call them patat frites while the Belgians call them the more French sounding pomme frites. I betcha didn’t know the Dutch mercilessly bag on the Belgians. Like the stupid polish jokes we grew up with back in the day.... How many Belgians does it take to screw in a light bulb? None, they are too dumb to have electricity ha ha ha... Belgians are so cheap they use both sides of the TP!!! Why is that funny again? Because it is ha ha ha. Uh OK cuz...
  8. It could be someone else but I got rear ended and the force of impact caused me to smack my head on the head rest causing a concussion.
  9. Not sure how I missed this thread.. From last fall
  10. Dang the peanut gallery was merciless this morning! See if Scrapr makes another joke in here! 😁
  11. Ivory. It was what the drill sergeants made us use and I stuck with it all these years. My mom bought froo froo smelly soaps when I was a kid. I never really cared for them so was happy to use a non smelly soap.
  12. Funny that Spring Training just started and nobody seems to give a rats azz... I’m looking forward to baseball but yeah fooze ball can’t come soon enough...
  13. This is my now 22 YO son at about that age. It’ll go by in the blink of an eye...
  14. Oh me and my thighs are tranquilo! Gotta find me some vintage Levi cords & rock the zipper thighs.
  15. Dude off a few decades, it was a thing in the 90’s. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thighmaster My friend I referenced earlier who passed too soon bought one for his wife for Christmas in the early 90’s. She got soo pissed at him.... Dude seriously??? What, it looked cool on TV...
  16. Remember back in the 70’s and for a brief while in the 80’s when corduroy pants were a thing? Remember the sound they made when you wore them?? Kinda like a zipper opening & closing with each step...
  17. Some here seem to think Manhattan clam chowder is basically tomato soup with clams... Add Clam Chowda to my list. We have a local place that does a fantastic Manhattan style. I like New England style too but the milk/cream doesn’t agree with me...
  18. Those Tiny Desk performances are all really good. I sometimes just hit tiny desk on YouTube & let it play. I haven’t not liked a single performance and most are people/bands I have never heard of.
  19. One of my good friends was given his grandfathers old fishing pole. He knew I fished and wanted me to look at it & see if it was any good. He says, looks like an old cane pole... Dude that’s a bamboo fly rod, it’s worth bucks... Not sure what he did with it though, he passed away unexpectedly a couple of years ago.
  20. @Allen dude seriously?!? I’d love to get my hands on a bamboo fly rod but far too much of my disposable cash goes to bikes & not fancy fly rods... That bamboo bike is the shit too!
  21. Did either of you feel any heightened expectations or feel weird working for your dads firm? I remember my oldest brother having a lot of anxiety working with my dad as an electrician apprentice. My son will be working on a different campus as me so we won’t even see each other, well he won’t see me but I’ll see him on camera...
  22. So my kid starts Monday working in the facilities dept. They need a strong backed kid to assist with the moving of equipment & boxing up of belongings as we are reorganizing. He’ll technically be working in the same overall department as me but he’ll report to a manager who reports to my counterpart on the Facilities side. The New Hire Report just published for next week and my phone & email is blowing up from people excited to have him on the team. But he’ll be supporting “Essential List????” person... I wonder if she’ll get over herself and deal with him like everyone else, shitty... or if she’ll take her hate on me out on my kid and be extra shitty to him. I didn’t tell him about her, figured I’d let him figure it out without my bias.
