    If I'd not felt myself slowing down mentally, I would have kept working. There were answers to be found and money to be made. I smile when you folks talk of six figure salaries, as I did not reach six figures until the last year or two. Thus continuing to work would have been financially beneficial, but not mentally.

    I will often wait a bit if I see someone emptying a cart close by, and offer to take their cart for them. I want to be helpful, but on the other hand walking to the store with a cart helps with my unsteady feet. Win! Win!

    We had a 1963 and 1965 bug. Drove the '65 from Oregon to Montana in 1988, but sold it after it had sat for a few years. We've had two diesel Jettas, the last one a 2009 that we still drive.

    After reading this, I might take the dually to town this afternoon at peak traffic to buy some ice cream that is on sale. It won't bother you all, as I will park in a handicap spot, and they are wider.
