  1. SEE!!! Complaining on social media WORKS!!!!
  2. Could be that. You could also, click the eyeball to create the spoiler, click IN the spoiler field and type a word and then paste the image. You might just not be "in" the spoiler until after you get in there and type something (or at least get the cursor centered there).

    For RE

I need the big guns to help on this one! @MoseySusan???? I can barely parse a single quote each day!
  4. ...but it is based on hundreds, thousands, or millions of bets which generally are a sort of crowdsourcing IOW, folks generally bet using as much info as possible, and that info (with the +/- points) ought to indicate where the expectation to win lies (and by how much).
  5. No prying that carb from your cold dead hands?
  6. Probably! I actually wonder if RG is our only city dweller besides you??? Most of us live in the suburbs or country. Cycling is an extra means of transportation, and far from a primary one.
  7. So, you turn on the TV and all these shows are on simultaneously on different channels. You would really choose to watch a random episode of Last of the Summer Wine before any of those others? Or is this a more historic list, where at the time, Last of the Summer Wine was great and you hold it dear to your heart now, but would actually watch an episode of TBBT instead? In a different sense, though, I think, for me, I would rather watch a full season of Black Adder, than a full season of Modern Family, even though, on a random episode level, MF would likely beat out BA.
  8. Time is on your side. This thread will be gone in a day or two. Then it will be all about you again!
  9. Likely if they did, it would break it! Wise decision Honestly, it is a challenge for a country like China - go big in the copy the West's work versus the create their own stuff. One is more short term and lets you go big with little investment, but the latter is more where the real long term sustainability lies. Japan seems to have done well going from the "cheap and fast" to the "refined and skilled (but still quick)" stages, but they have since struggled in the "keep innovating" portion. Will China learn from them or is 1,000,000,000+ folks just too tough to keep coordinated? "Fake it until you make it" really should be "Fake it until you make it and then sustain it".
  10. Awesome. Now we know what you can do with your super-sized tax refund!!! A shame that can't be a winter activity in many places. Gotta wait until late spring, probably, to start work on it.
  11. ...whose primary car has a carburetor? Maybe BR46 does on his motorcycles? Anybody else?
  12. And then it is a snowball. Folks will be driving their classic cars, but be surrounded by trucks, buses, taxis, automated cars, and the like. Sort of how cars and horse and buggies existed together for a while (and now only do with LJ).
  13. Is Green Acres a sitcom??? I liked the Andy Griffith show, but even that was maybe just barely a sitcom.
  14. Okay, now I'm starting to like him more than I like @Randomguy! I never win anything so I can't give away Treks left and right. RG, though, he's a proven lucky bastard, but I never hear about him giving anything away.
  15. We thought we had the Nazis beat
  16. AWESOME! A nice piece of family history for you to enjoy. I got a book on one of my ancestors a few years ago. Very interesting to see history from an almost personal perspective. You're much closer to it (WWII) vs me (US independence) so it will definitely be neat!
  17. Just added one more - due Friday.
  18. Mama's Family Small Wonder
  19. Well, tea is nasty, so that's good! You're more like "my cup of coffee" - a bit fruity, but with enough nuttiness to be interesting.
  20. Well, technically it is best to go "Away @ Home" which is actually shorter than "Away vs Home" So, Bengals @ Titans, etc..
  21. I want the Titans, Rams, 49ers, and Bills to win, but I NEVER get my "wish" list right.
  22. I'm struggling parsing this sentence. I guess there is some degree of "valuation" going on here??? Like "a life" is far more valuable than pretty much every thing else added together? Is that the gist? Otherwise, I'd say, from an "ownership" perspective, most folks have far less than they want?
  23. Come on! @Parr8hed ought to know about the organ donor part! And @Dottles will have at least done a cursory review of the pros/cons of the topic! And what doesn't @Randomguy know about all things related to this sort of thing?
