  1. 1. Remote attached to the visor in each car 2. Wired wall switch at interior house to garage entry 3. Have a keyed wireless remote but haven't determined where to hang it for combo entry from outside. Wife doesn't want visible from front street. Next to rear exit door behind rear fence, or next to actual garage door up front but behind landscaping.
  2. Out of season. Cheez its, beer and football all go together for a complete meal...or appetizer prior to wings. Forget breakfast!
  3. And their streets are laid out like somebody dumped a bowl of spaghetti, then named them all Peachtree.
  4. The abbreviated version (and I actually did this, but to calculate cost per serving and net savings over pods) 1) Get the postal scale out 2) Weigh either the paper filter or the screen filter 3) Add coffee measured for the 4 cup brew and subtract the filter weight to get true weight of coffee 4) Divide 12 oz (or whatever size the bag is) by the coffee weight that will give you the number of 4 cup brews 5) Assuming one 4 cup brew per day, that is the number of days it will last.
  5. I keep wondering as we have seen the constant increase in 1st class and parcel postage, have bulk rates increased? Doesn't seem that the amount of junk mail had decreased and almost 95% of what I receive. With the increase in rates, are we subsidizing delivery of junk mail?
  6. Safe travels, and it was a pleasure meeting you.
  7. I am waffling on the subject. Prefer IHOP, but Waffle House is so retro. Last time in, about a year ago, wasn't impressed and wished I chose Cracker Barrel across the street.
  8. B batteries are Bad while A batteries are Awful.
  9. Somewhere near a Magic Kingdom. At least that is what they say, but I think they call it DismalWorld.
  10. Here's a tip... Don't expect anything from this crowd. Although there might be an exception as Bud Light Lime comes to mind. Have to get rid of it somehow. Tag, you're it.

    Todays Hike

This will give you an idea of the camera toting around. I didn't try to be in front of that motley crew. Just stood there as everyone gathered for a group shot as everyone gathered - even stepping back some. But smaller individuals took the opportunity to hide behind me.

    Todays Hike

It appears to be, and they are common to the area. However, does lack the yellow patches on either the throat or around the wing...but nothing else has that yellow patch on the tail. It appears to have the forward body of a marsh wren, but then the yellow. The three are Kingfisher at a distance, and both the Yellow-Rumped Warbler and the Blue-Gray Gnatcatcher were in trees at water edge along the path.

    Todays Hike

While large birds dominate, I am trying to capture more small birds. They are even more difficult as they hop around and focus wants to focus on branches. A couple from today.

    Todays Hike

That is a Sandhill Crane, both at the top and the end. They were the same family but taken at different times with the ones at the end during the hike. There is an absolute requirement to give the at least 20', but with the lens it looks like very close (same way with the gator - obviously kept distance) The camera I use is a Sony a7rIII with a Sony 200-600 lens. Occasionally will carry wife's camera, but that camera/lens combo is 7lbs 3oz. and at least a 2 mile hike. Only twice today did I wish I had a shorter lens (use cell phone as alternative) but many of those were a reach even for that lens and have significant cropping which the 42MP full frame sensor could accommodate. While the a7rIII is several years old, thinking about upgrading to the a7rV, but ironically it is the 61 MP sensor and resulting file size that is holding me back. The pink bird is a Roseate Spoonbill.

    Todays Hike

While have been to the Wetlands many times with and without a local photoclub, today was a first. While 11 of us met, it was the maximum seating for an hour and half tram ride operated by volunteers. Our driver also happened to be a photographer and know of sites outside normal hiking range and where to stop. Afterwards we did our normal dock/loop hike.

    Florida

This dude is a nutjob appointed by his nutjob boss. Being a nutjob was the sole characteristic that his boss required. Enough said.
  17. Such a noob. He should have been on the old Love forum and watch the masters work to reach #1.
  18. How much would I expect to pay? How much does a new car cost?
  19. The ultimate squirrel photobomb...on video!
  20. Great meeting BuffJim this morning. While he posted a photo earlier that another person took, this is the outstretched arm selfie with the springhead in the background and even one manatee visible over my shoulder. Official count today was 375 and were visible all along the walk. While waiting the few minutes for his arrival, struck up a conversation with the parking lot volunteer and he told me of a Scrub Jay area I wasn't aware of up near the campgrounds. Checked the FS page for the park and they routinely have ranger guided tours with one tomorrow. I have other plans for tomorrow but will catch a future event. Florida Scrub Jays are endemic to the scrub oaks in the area and on the National Endangered Specie list. While I have taken a few (poor) photos of them before, difficult to find and will be nice to go on a guided tour. Ironically, tomorrow's event is with a local photo club meetup at the Wetlands which I frequent - but this time taking the tram which is a first for me.
  21. Shhhhh! They don't need to know everything!
  22. Wondered where my knife went. Easy to get back. Childs play. A well known Indian tradition passed down for generations that rubbing an alligator's bell puts them to sleep. While Ross Allen demonstrates here, remember a Seminole indian potting a gator to sleep pre-game on the 50 yard line before the annual FSU Seminoles defeated the UF Gators.
