Popular Post dinneR ★ Posted January 22 Popular Post Share #1 Posted January 22 I'm driving down the highway and it's wet so I turn on my wipers and the driver side one flies off over the roof of the car. I pull into a turnout and circle back. No wiper. I pull into another turnout and make a second pass. No wiper. I pull into the first turnout again and have a hunch. The blade was on the roof of my car wedged into my ski rack. Thank you Thule! 4 5 1 1

Bikeguy Posted January 22 Share #3 Posted January 22 How does that happen? Wipers are clipped on so there are 2 or 3 things you need to do to replace them. Yeah... nice catch.
Further Posted January 22 Share #4 Posted January 22 I had the same thing happen but I didn't find the wiper. I moved the passenger side one to the drivers side and wrapper a rag around the passenger one so it wouldn't scratch the windshield.

Yeah... nice catch. These pop on and off pretty easily. You just pinch both sides at the connection and remove them. I probably knocked it loose when I was cleaning the snow off. KrAzY Posted January 22 Share #6 Posted January 22 Pfffffft.... a Yakima rack would have reinserted the blade back in the wiper for you.

When I parked my cars outside and when it was going to snow (or a ice storm) I'd do this. The wipers never froze to the windshield. They were out of the way when I cleaned the snow off of the car, Before I started putting the wipers up, every once in a while (not very often) I'd start the car and I forgot to turn off the wipers. One or trice they were down and frozen to the windshield. I had to quickly turn off the car before the wiper motor or linkage or wipers were damaged. When they are up and I forgot... they wave at you,
