Allen ★ Posted August 23, 2015 Share #1 Posted August 23, 2015 walking in the woods today and got my glasses hooked on a branch. Never saw where they landed. Searched for an hour and gave up. My neighbor stopped by to pick some of my scuppernongs and he happens to keep a metal detector behind the seat in his cab. Would never have found my glasses without it, they were under leaves. He is my favorite person in the world right now.
KrAzY Posted August 24, 2015 Share #2 Posted August 24, 2015 I love my metal detector.. Found a few rings and ear rings on the beach. Plus also found a wedding ring my wife lost in the yard last year.
Allen ★ Posted August 24, 2015 Author Share #3 Posted August 24, 2015 I should pick one up for the beach house. There was a thrill when the buzzer went off that was more than just relief that I could see again. It was fun.
KrAzY Posted August 24, 2015 Share #4 Posted August 24, 2015 What really gets me is how many nails and other hunks of metal are less then an inch under the sand on the beaches.
Longjohn ★ Posted August 24, 2015 Share #5 Posted August 24, 2015 I think most of us older cyclists would set off a metal detector.

Longjohn ★ Posted August 24, 2015 Share #9 Posted August 24, 2015 After one of my crashes as they were doing x-rays the words from the tech behind the lead wall still ring in my head: "Whoa, you have done this before, you have metal in you."
