Square Wheels Posted September 27, 2013 Share #3 Posted September 27, 2013 I've never tried it, not sure if I would. My wife is nuts, she'll try anything - she married me, guess she's a slow learned.
Nick Posted September 27, 2013 Share #4 Posted September 27, 2013 Roasted over an open fire. Have yet to put one in the smoker. Norway Maple, Black Walnut, & Apple smoked squirrel....hmmm....may need to try that this year.
Nate Posted September 27, 2013 Author Share #5 Posted September 27, 2013 you get a good fat squirrel like the size of a cat, and that's some good eating. Up in Alaska they have squirrels the size of small dogs now my favorite rodents to eat is rabbits, but I don't start hunting those until winter. Late season rabbit in my great grandma's iron pot baked with carrots and onions and herbs I got the recipie from a Bugs Bunny cartoon

Skin em, dress em and put em on the grill rubbed down with some olive oil and cayanne pepper, that's one of my favorites, too

I am a citified redneck. all hat and no cattle. there are very few critters I have eaten in fact. i like steak and scotch. Is there a critter that tastes like scotch? Single Malt Highland Armadillo?
