Parsnip Totin Jack ★ Posted June 13, 2014 Share #1 Posted June 13, 2014 Last night my son asked me where I want to go for dinner on Father's Day. I told him I'd tell him in five minutes. (I had to think it over). None of the restaurants around here thrill me that much, they're all 'meh'. I don't want to go to a 'meh' restaurant and wait and hour for a table. I had an e-mail from a local seafood shop (Lobstah Bakes of Maine) that they're selling fresh Maine lobstahs for $9.99/lb. No brainer! Eat at home, fresh lobstah, clam chowdah, scallops, conn and beeyah. So while I can't be at Squarehead's on Sunday I will be celebrating in style in Ohio. FTW!
Kzoo Posted June 13, 2014 Share #2 Posted June 13, 2014 I thought we were all celebrating Father's Day at SquareDude's place on Sunday. If you aren't going to be there, I have to rethink attending.
Square Wheels Posted June 13, 2014 Share #3 Posted June 13, 2014 My wife said all RSVPs are due today. If I don't hear from you today we'll be hiding inside with the lights off like cheap old people on Halloween. Good job #7 on the Boston accent, although I don't talk like that. Parsnip Totin Jack ★ Posted June 13, 2014 Author Share #4 Posted June 13, 2014 My mothah and fathah were both proper Bostonians. Mom is from Belmont, Dad from West Roxbury. Dad was a double Eagle, BC High and BC. I've got relatives in Reading, Bedford, Marshfield, Pembroke, Cohasset, Situate, Duxbury and Falmouth. I know the accent well even if I nevah lived theah.
Square Wheels Posted June 13, 2014 Share #5 Posted June 13, 2014 Maybe we should install a Boston accent translator on the site. One that converts Texican and New York speak into proper words.
Zealot Posted June 13, 2014 Share #6 Posted June 13, 2014 Sorry. Not appealing at all. I don't eat crustaceans. But, glad you found a great way to celebrate!

Zealot Posted June 13, 2014 Share #8 Posted June 13, 2014 It'll be me and my wife on Sunday, alone. We'll find a way to celebrate. ;-)
Square Wheels Posted June 13, 2014 Share #9 Posted June 13, 2014 SquareGuy has wieners and cotton candy on the menu. No wieners. We're going with grilled chicken, steak tips and some other yummy foods but the wife didn't want to have burgers and dogs. She will if I ask, but she's a lot smarter than me and usually right. We should be there at about 3:45 (assuming the Jfarrrt is actually going to pick us up)
