So I rode my bike down to Trader Joes

I usually do a ride every 3 or 4 days. This time was just 2 days. So I was feeling pretty good about myself. Another milestone, blah, blah, blah (insert something about the Tour de France at the end).

I get to TJ's, and get off the bike. I notice a sensation is missing. I reach behind me, no wallet.

So I went inside, had a couple teeny tiny cups of free coffee, and went home.

Hail the conquering hero.

One of the reasons that I keep $22 in my saddle bag. A $1 bill make for a good tire boot plus there's been times that I needed something from a vending machine and the cost was more than a dollar.

The $20 is for larger purchases such as lunch.

I hate that feeling.  I have left my wallet at home before.  Recently went to a local Mexican joint.  Walking in, wife sees from friends from the pet rescue and joins them.  I go the bar and order margaritas and did the same thing, no wallet.

Luckily, I walked out to the patio, got my wife's debit card and the drinks were on her.

Then I called home and asked my son to find my wallet and bring it to me.

Drinks were on me after that.

No, school has started, which means we are not home much, so we cannot foster right now.  Only on school breaks.

I keep emergency cash in the glove compartments of all our cars.  Saves a drive home empty handed from the grocery store!
