  1. Big fan of Subie’s. My 2013 Legacy has 100K trouble free miles & still going strong. I plan to keep it another couple of years. My wife has a 2019 Crosstrek and it’s a great little car.
  2. I’m leaning towards an Outback or Forrester as well. I have had two 4X4’s in the past and don’t necessarily want another truck or SUV but something I can drive comfortably on road but can also take me out on forest roads & such. I’d not leave it stock but not quiet as much as the one in the image.
  3. Somewhat similar for me, I kinda look of the overland equipped Outback’s.
  4. He loves to dig and get his face all in the dirt. It’s freaking funny to see him with a brown face & paws but yeah he’s clean in that shot .
  5. I put the bag of flour in a large ziplock plastic bag.
  6. Not saying I wouldn’t like them but I have never eaten one! I’m a Heathbar Blizzard guy.
  7. Smokey is covering her belly (7 months preggers now) but love this shot she sent me.
  8. I rode for a looong time with just a wireless bike computer and it’s fine. I only switched to a Garmin as I was bouncing between road, cross & MTB and mounting a computer on a MTB is a PITA due to the distance from fork stanchion to spoke pick up. So I got a Garmin & just pop it on whatever bike I’m riding. But for 90% of my riding the Garmin is more info than I want or need. So if you you aren’t big into tracking miles or mapping, a non GPS bike computer is really handy. It can do speed, distance & cadence. If mapping & heart rate are really important than go Garmin but $200 may not be enough for one with mapping.
  9. The Mazda CX 5 and CX9 are worth looking at too. You noted the Outback but the Forrester is similar in size but the shape is different. The cargo area for the outback is lower, wider and longer. But the Forrester is taller so if the crates are tall & narrow a Forrester may be better suited.
  10. I spent about an hour in my friends bike shop on Saturday and it was in the mid 70’s but her shop isn’t air conditioned so it was quiet stuffy in there. I had to step outside & remove my mask several times as it was a bit uncomfortable.
  11. When we would visit the MIL during the holidays she had an enclosed back porch that doubled as a walk in freezer during the winter.
  12. It’s really up to the prosecutor & DA on what they feel they can get a conviction for. I have seen charges get lowered from the initial charge all the time as the DA doesn’t feel they can get the greater charge to stick. Lesser charges rarely get upgraded but they can if other evidence (like video) surfaces later.
  13. The initial charge can always be upgraded. It’s a fine line between felonious battery & assault with a deadly weapon vs misdemeanor assault & battery. Often times if it’s just hands & fists it’s a misdemeanor. Kicks to the lower regions are also usually misdemeanors. You start doing round houses to the head or kicking them in the head while they are down it’ll be charged as felonious assault or ADW. So yeah if he was kicking the dude in the head and it stays a misdemeanor he’ll get off easy.
  14. Not really “my area” but when I worked in downtown LA, Philippes was a cool old historic place to grab lunch. The French Dip sandwich was invented there. https://www.philippes.com My area really came up post WW II and mostly in the past 30 years so not many historic areas or old cool stores/restaurants.
  15. Wind chill, tee hee he said wind chill.... We do get cool damp air off the Pacific so it sometimes feel cooler than the reported temps but wind chill isn’t an issue out way. Or maybe it is, when it’s 95 degrees 10 miles inland it’s 80 degrees where I live.
  16. Well you can put the ice cream outside and it stay frozen!
  17. She has received mixed information from doctors. Some saying to wait but most told her it was safe to get the vaccine. She also knows personally & did some research of women who got Covid while pregnant so felt comfortable holding off on the vaccine. By the time she returns from her maternity she’ll have both doses.
  18. I kept getting calls last night from alarm companies reporting power loss for several of my TX sites.
  19. I have no data on a national level but my daughter & her husband decided to get pregnant during the pandemic. She’s due in April. I think it was more about the timing being right for them & living their lives even with the pandemic going on. I kinda thought the pandemic might cause a baby boom as all those couples stuck in the house together would be finding something to do. Being a dental hygienist she could have gotten vaccinated already but she’s going to wait until after the baby is born.
  20. Normal Sunday dinner, kids are coming over for turkey burgers, (SIL favorite) home made Mac & cheese for those who don’t want burgers (or who want both!)
  21. Shit I wish I landed like that guy. I was freaking horizontal landing squarely on my azz. Screw the penguin walk, I think I just need to throw some mud on that spot & let it dry up!
  22. Something must have spilled on our flooring as last weekend after I cleaned the floors I noticed a really slippery spot right in front of our TV. With shoes on or bare feet it’s fine, with socks on look out!! Well last night I was going to the garage with thin wool socks on and whoop! Both feet went out from under me, landed on my azz/back. I was afraid I’d smack my head again and get another concussion so flared my arms out & really tensed my neck. Mission accomplished, didn’t hit my head! But shit my backside is sore and the front of my neck is really tender & sore. At least I didn’t break anything...
  23. Damn, might be a tad too chilly for shorts... 😁
  24. 30 miles on the Ritchey with the missus. I was riding on sections of gravel on the side of the MUP to get a feel for it in light dirt. Like buttah!!!
