Never even thought of eating Bee’s Troots. Not even sure what they are. I imagine a taste of honey. Are they good?

Always enjoyed the Grateful Dead, but when I was about 20 my 14 year old twin brothers became deadheads. I was the DD for shows in Niagara Falls and Toronto. As I got older I realized how much of their playlist relied on Giants of the past. Big River, The Race is On, Cocaine Blues, City of New Orleans, Not Fade Away, Dancing in the Streets and so many more were covers of Pop, Country and Rock classics. My favorite Dead song remains Catfish John. What a great song.

Unstoppable with Morgan Freeman from 2010 is a much better alternative. Takes place in Pennsylvania and uses the intelligence of the natives and the hilly terrain to great effect. Made my sophisticated teenage nephew watch it. He grumbled at first, but then really got into it.

I’d worry more about pets and kids. Black bear fatalities are very rare, but not unheard of.

Doesn’t sound good. I guess if you add enough Vodka it would be OK. I drink low sodium V-8 most mornings.

Out by the BBQ pit is another one. Pardon BuffCarla’s cousin’s finger. It is bent in such a way it appears he’s giving me the finger. I’m sure he’s not.

Inside. It’s 94 on the screened in porch thermometer here in the Greater Potsdam NY Metropolitan Area. I just came in and am under the fan.

I went for a walk at the nature preserve by my parents this morning. The Deer Flies loved me until they realized I was doused in Deep Woods Off. Some some Cedar Waxwings, Great Blue Herons, Blue Jays, Orioles. As always I see Red Winged Blackbirds, Canada Geese, Robins, Mallards, Starlings. Tons of Dragonflies, which used to scare me when I was a kid. And a Monarch Butterfly.

Waddya got going on. I’m at my parents, and my oldest brother is coming up this afternoon. Partly a celebration and partly a welfare check. Heading back tomorrow to spend some time with my daughter.

How far away are they? NY has fire towers built about 100 years ago. But wildfires nowadays are pretty rare in the Northeast.

I got some at Louie’s Red Hots yesterday for lunch. Yumm.
