Yup.  After I saw the movie, I listened to the whole album that song was from, and...the rest was pretty bad.  I read an interview where the band pretty said the same, that the album was a hastily put-together piece of crap partially in response to what the Beatles did on their recent album.  They agreed that it mostly just wasn't them, they weren't so into making it.

I don’t believe it. That album was awesome. You kids were not really there. Turn on your black lights and light some incense and listen to the whole album again.
