37.16 miles at 13.3 mph avg. Columbia, IL to Waterloo, IL. Hilly in places. Up to 15% grades. Temps in the low 40°s F. Little wind. Good way to start out the year.

Great job.  I'm still hiding in the basement.  Did a Spinerval for a total of 14 miles.  Figured it was appropriate.

Took the mountain bike out on the bike trail for a short ride, maybe five miles, with a friend  Temp was about 20 - 25F, and the bike path was pretty much a sheet of ice with anywhere from 1/2" to 2" of snow cover.  Took a lot of concentration on some sections to keep the bike upright, as the ice was pocked with frozen footprints and ruts from snowmobiles.
