Further Posted February 12, 2017 Share #6 Posted February 12, 2017 I have really liked most of the rye beers I've had. I wonder why beer isn't more commonly brewed with rye. A local brewery (Four Seasons) has an excellent rye on tap now (Tie Dye Rye) This particular brew caused me to get cussed up one side and down the other. Fella at work enjoys good food and drink. He occasionally will cook up a pot of something and bring it in to share. I was working my way through a case of Arcadia Sky High Rye and thought Robby would like it, so I took him a bottle. That was a year or so ago. This past Monday we were talking about the weekends beer. I mentioned that I had the Tie Dyed Rye, that it was similar to the Sky High Rye. Robbie drives about 40 miles each way to work, the brewery is only a few miles out of his way. So Thursday morning I was shocked to get cussed up and down for making his drive longer, ruining his health, and costing him a lot of money. My WTF was answered with "that's the best damn beer I've ever had, it takes an extra half hour to get home, it costs 12 dollars, and I'm going to be drinking every night again, fucker" I said "well it's a seasonal, so they'll run out pretty soon" "Oh shit, I better buy a keg" 4 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
