Popular Post Digital_photog ★ Posted August 13, 2019 Popular Post Share #1 Posted August 13, 2019 Indiana State Fair, not Montana State Fair so I did not see @sheep_herder They were running 2 rings this morning. Shetland in one and Katahdin in the other. I was busy with the Shetland show so didn't see much of the Katahdin. Took second in a class of 18. He was beat out by his half brother who was 6 weeks older. Half brother won Reserve Grand Champion. Over all we did very well with 18 excellent rams in the open class. Won 2nd out of 14 in Indiana bred and owned. Next show will be Saturday at Michigan Fiber Festival in Allegan, MI. This will be our last show of the season. 9

Digital_photog ★ Posted August 14, 2019 Author Share #3 Posted August 14, 2019 It was a very competitive show this year. Over 200 excellent sheep. 2 shows combined into one, Indiana State Fair Open Show and Indiana Sheep Breeders Association Indiana Bred and Owned Show. Digital_photog ★ Posted August 14, 2019 Author Share #4 Posted August 14, 2019 @sheep_herder, since they show the same time you can bring a load of your Katahdin sheep and show with us next year. I'll even buy you a lamb taco for lunch if you show up.

Airehead Posted August 14, 2019 Share #6 Posted August 14, 2019 I like that these types of shows are still part of fairs-- not just fried butter and ferris wheels
