    I’m no fan of UPMC, but I’m suspicious of Highmark, too. One’s a health care system turned major insurance provider, the other an insurance company turned hospital system operator.

    Or maybe Highmark was trying to undercut their payments on claims? Because I don’t know why else UPMC would suddenly not want to provide care to those patients. At the same time Highmark was trying to develop their own rival hospital system, so the incentive to steer them to their own providers existed in spades.

    Curious to know why you seem to blame UPMC alone for the crisis? I haven’t been able to figure out who to blame when the two behemoth hospital/insurance networks went to war.

    My cat brought home a bunny larger that herself when I was a child. Dropped it in the middle of the kitchen, still alive. My father took it out to the wood shed to put it down.

    It starts tomorrow at 8 pm? I will miss the opening, as I'll be watching the Pens/Panthers game. But I guess I can flip over at 10 pm after the hockey game and catch the second inning.

    How many games did he miss last year? I wonder if having both ankles wrapped in rope will decrease his risk for future high ankle sprains.

    My laptop battery stopped charging after the Windows 10 update. I read about there being battery drivers that can be updated, but it’s a work computer, so I can’t download any updates myself. The IT guys instead insisted it was my battery at fault, and replaced it. Now my laptop doesn’t recognize there is a battery in, at all.

    $55 a ticket, not bad. I think they overpriced the 100 level though, it was empty and the 200’level pretty full.
