  4. Canned drinking water, seriously? What are they, 350ml each? Try plastic resealable bottles from 1 litre up. Sounds like a publicity stunt off the back of tragedy.
  5. I live in a city so we don't really have a 'local' newspaper apart from the freebie ones you can pick up around the place that I never read. In rural areas there are ones that cover local sports results and births, marriages, deaths.

    Spike

I've been away for a few days visiting Cobh (formerly known as Queenstown) and did a day trip across on a ferry to Spike Island. Queenstown was the last port of call of the Titanic before she sank and was a major emigrant port of departure to the U.S. Spike Island guards the entrance to Cork harbour on Ireland's South coast and has a star shaped fortress on it called Fort Mitchell (formerly Fort Westmorland).with six bastions. It took nearly sixty years to build in the first half of the 19th C. and never saw action. It was used as a deportation (mainly to Australia and Bermuda) colony for prisoners and in the late 20th century as a prison till the prisoners rioted and burnt a lot of the accommodation down. It's now a heritage site and attracts tourists. One of the guns overlooking the harbour 6 inch naval gun Poppies growing wild on the parapet. Some prison art by the modern inmates Cobh (Queenstown)
  8. They both did but Payweather won more..
  9. I'd like McGregor to win obviously but really I just want the hype to end. Probably the best way for that to happen is for McGregor to be knocked out in round one. Whatever the result neither will get a penny of my money.

  14. For the bicycle fundies: I flew to Marseille with my bike in 2006 and cycled across France to Bordeaux. This was about half way
  15. I'm vaguely aware of credit rating but a quick check shows that I can get mine by applying online, paying €6 and waiting for it arrive by post. As I'm not in the market for a loan I'm not interested enough to pay €6 (about $7) for this information.
