Just hired a life coach

Having been a highly-formally-trained and damn good teacher, I get frustrated when asking others how to do things.

They always assume I have certain background information and skip over it, use initials for things I obviously would have no clue what they mean, and skip over things they think are obvious.

For years until March 2018, I had cheap cell phones, did almost no phone apps. and had little experience with what apps were good and how they worked.  When I got a Samsung Galaxy S7, I asked my sister how she did phone searches so fast.  She tried to explain it twice.  Thank God for YouTube!

Classes to learn to teach include things like writing out the steps to make a grilled cheese sandwich on a stove.  It's amazing how often the students forget things like turning the stove on, because their thoughts are focused on the materials and buttering the bread, not on "minor" things obvious to them.  Same thing with people in general giving instructions!
