Popular Post Parsnip Totin Jack ★ Posted March 26 Popular Post Share #1 Posted March 26 For an old couple. We pulled the carpet from the stairs to see what was underneath. Padding and staples. And smaller older staples under that. The wood is pine with a reddish finish. We are replacing with red oak. The basement floor will be red oak also. Walls and ceiling first. Work begins in two weeks. We need to look at colors. 6

A painting crew is coming in two weeks. They will remove the popcorn ceiling, replace the paneling with drywall, prime and add two coats of paint. Then, a flooring company will remove the linoleum and lay wood flooring and upgrade the stairs to match. We volunteered to remove the carpet. We moved here in 2021 and the basement became a catch-all for stuff that wouldn’t fit elsewhere. Now we are faced with deciding what to do with the stuff. 9 hours ago, maddmaxx said: What are you doing for anti skid for older folks wearing socks and carrying laundry baskets. Nothing. Use at your own risk. 3

He’s off Wednesday and Thursday so hopefully he will make things happen. Mrs Parsnip will be supervising.
