People are officially weird about water here now. I suppose it was to be expected, given all the other weirdness.

jsharr ★ Posted May 10, 2019 Share #7 Posted May 10, 2019 Saucer magnolia or Dogwood? I want to say Dogwood.

There's a native dogwood species here that grows in mixed conifer forests at somewhere around 4-6000 foot elevations. You have to know where to look, but once you find a stand of them, they're pretty widespread in that area. These are right off the south fork of the Yuba, near lake Bowman.
