  1. 🙏🏼🤞🏼#2 Son comes home today. No plans except to enjoy a fire, chicken noodle soup, and the snowfall.
  2. I didn’t realize that spring brings an increase in business for bike shops. I though maybe racing season is starting, but I don’t know.
  3. Skill, for sure. I knew it had to end in -ly.
  4. Why is this the busy season? And what kind of bike shop is it?
  5. My dad was a freight train brakeman and then conductor. My mom was a homemaker and then she worked in a school cafeteria. I was an English teacher. My older child is a custodian and 2nd son boxes up tortillas for shipment.
  6. I’ve been eating slices of Irish soda bread for breakfast all week.
  7. This movie was part of my Communication Skills curriculum.
  8. The story came through to me as an examination of shame and its effects. A story worth telling, for sure. But I’m not seeing an Oscar winner of a performance from Brendan Fraser. What did I miss?
  9. What do you use it for? I use ground anise for biscochito cookies, usually at Christmas.
  10. When a biker doesn’t work, try a miner, then throw a wider guess, and feck it…have a cider.
  11. Sprinkled on lentils with a squirt of lemon… 😋. Clove is one of my least used spices.

Ethan dodged it, for sure. He was in a bad way the night he moved into ICU. We are grateful for new mercies every day.
  14. 3/15- 50 minutes of bike (30) and treadmill (20) in the gym.
  15. I sold a lot of frozen burgers at the convenience store where I worked while in college. Usually after 1:00 AM to drunk people.

    Covid

Not the case in these parts. Lots of masks, still.

Hopeful. In a word… His RT has been progressively setting his oxygen to a lower liter flow and mix, and he’s holding good saturation. He will probably switch to a regular cannula from high flow tomorrow. The doctor said probably coming home with supplementary oxygen this weekend. He has some pneumonia debris in his lungs, but is just coughing it up. And a raging perineal yeast/fungal infection as a side effect of the antibiotics. It’s uncomfortable but treatable. He will miss out on a bowling tournament Saturday, the volleyball season, and has a month off of work. We also canceled our tea reservation for tomorrow. I’m not sure when Disneyland will happen. We’d like him totally off oxygen before we go.
  18. He was. His appendix made its last gasp effort at being seen among the other, more influential organs. The attention whore… Sad. Couldn’t take being left off the vital list.
  19. Don’t even get me started. My MacBook Pro has a minuscule fraction of its memory. A whole other issue…
  20. Like in Walking Dead when they got to the CDC and the momentary joy of a hot shower and some wine went horribly, horribly wrong.
  21. 1st Child offered to take me out for dinner after they get off from work. That will be nice. Usually mr. stays with 2nd son in the morning and then we switch at 2:00 so I can stay with him until he goes to sleep. Today we changed places so that mr. could go out for breakfast with daughter and grandkids before they get on the road back to Phoenix. He’s coming to the hospital at noon with birthday lunch and cupcakes to have a little celebration. Then he’ll stay for the evening and I can meet up with 1st child.
