shootingstar Posted November 4, 2019 Share #1 Posted November 4, 2019 I will be mining info. from my hairdresser and a work colleague, who are each, originally from Croatia. Thinking of a few days there... Zagreb doesn't turn me on as much as Dubrovnik and Split. Rovinj, looks cool. Anyone been there? This would be after Germany.... Wilbur ★ Posted November 4, 2019 Share #2 Posted November 4, 2019 Cool. Happy mining! It is a great country. Also nice and in the area is Ljublijana and Lake Bled. Nice day tour out of Zagreb. fullsizeoutput_5ab.mov

Tizeye Posted November 4, 2019 Share #5 Posted November 4, 2019 Daughter has been to Dubrovnik and loved it. Neighbors across the street are refugees from the adjacent Bosnia /Herzegovina where the family was separated in the conflict and thought the husband was killed until saw him in London on a BBC broadcast. While victims of the atrocities, they speak highly of the homeland and two years ago were able to return and visit relatives that were left behind. 2
shootingstar Posted November 4, 2019 Author Share #6 Posted November 4, 2019 Thx for the many photos. Rather interesting for my co-worker, who I believe has been back several times. Now, she no longer needs to visit. Her husband is suffering abit from post traumatic stress disorder due to war.
MickinMD ★ Posted November 4, 2019 Share #7 Posted November 4, 2019 It looked like a lot of fun on Rick Steves' Europe on PBS, especially its islands. Personally, I'd probably do it on an Adriatic Sea Cruise that includes Venice, Trieste, as well as Croatia: Dubrovnik and maybe Split and Rovinj.
