  1. That didn't work out to good for Malaysia Airlines Flight 370.
  2. Be sure to make your family knows about how you feel about this. WoBG knows what I want.

  4. In some cases that ends with; "Then you should hire someone who knows how to do this correctly." And that appears to already have happened. @12string so why was the inspector there? You did the right thing and had a permit issued for your work? Lets just say... by magic... my old home, the bathroom was gutted and remodeled... new; tile floor, tub/shower, toilet, vanity, lights, linen cabinets, wood trim, etc... Plumbing was moved for the single sink vanity (was 2 sinks). Outlets and switch locations, were moved and GFI outlets were installed (they were never in the bathroom before). The county was on a need to know basis... and they didn't need to know.
  5. Before out new home was going to be inspected, I meet with the builder. I noticed something and pointed it out. He tells me; "I always leave 2 or 3 things wrong, that way the inspector can find something that needs to be fixed."
  6. Can't remember exactly where in Chicago we were but... WoBG and I were on a long escalator going down with lots of people. The escalator starts speeding up a LOT. The people at the bottom couldn't get off fast enough and they were starting to bunch up and next was people starting to fall over. I told WoBG turn around and run up NOW. We did.... then the thing instantly stops. I don't remember falling... but we may have stumbled a lot. We kept going up and we avoided the mess of people at the bottom.
  7. The catwalk in the stadium... I could do that if I had to. Climbing up into this crane. Nope... never going to happen for me.
  8. In 20+ years we ALL have aged. I still 'feel' young... so let them underestimate me.
  9. This.. I'd never put soup in my mug.
  10. When I was in college, I'd line the pots with aluminum foil. After I was done, remove the foil... done.
  11. A wellness check maybe a good idea. If he's OK... he can come back here and tell us to leave him alone, etc... I he's not... he could be in trouble, and needs help.
  12. That was my first thought. I sure hope they didn't want to lick up the juice and eat the glass.
  13. Wait for it... next thing to happen using the Ticketmaster sales plan. All the tickets will get purchsed and then sold again by a 'reseller' for 3 or 4 times face value.
  14. We would need something more like this. https://odditymall.com/king-bed-dog-insert
  15. The HP 41 had a few peripherals and I have most of them. (still do) I have the dead calculator. I've identified the problem... I just never tried to fix it yet. A printer, a tape drive for program and data storage, a magnetic card reader also for storing programs and data, an optical wand for reading bar code programs, and I had a few plug in modules that provided additional commands for programs and keyboard functions. The program code (just an example) was easy to learn. I wrote LOTS of programs for the calculator for my use at work. For a few years i was in our company golf league (I sucked at golf) and wrote a program to calculate and track the leagues stats for the players. We'd be in the bar after playing, I collect all of the score cards. and in a few minutes, all the scores were entered and I'd print out the stats for the players. Is that nerdy enough for you??
  16. This... Then again.. Isn't that how things work here now?
  17. If I'm limited to the picture; the General Lee. If not... https://bgr.com/tech/jetopteras-new-vtol-flying-car-is-designed-to-nearly-reach-mach-1/

  19. So... has anyone ever followed your advice.
  20. I never had a pocket protector. I do still have my slide rule. The HP41 was my favorite calculator. Sadly it died. But I still can use the emulator on my cell phone. I have a HP 35s, HP 50g, HP Prime, and a HP 12C. I use the 12C the most.
