  1. And you won't have to pay for the next version of the operating system...or any future version.
  2. Why do you think I posted it...because it is an issue RIGHT NOW! Otherwise would have been the furthest thing from my mind.
  3. I wish they would start giving sample in the wine aisle.
  4. Free: Be sure and hit the sample areas as you brows through the store. Yesterday I sampled some Tiramisu and another kiosk had a salad (lettuce and crumbled cheese) with Olive Garden dressing. Food Court: Large plaques above describing/picturing menu. Classic is the hot dog and drink for $1.50, second most popular is pizza slice (three choices) and adding a drink totals $2.75. Then there are the others, salads and sandwiches which typically cost more and vary. The one I dislike is the chicken in a twisty bread.
  5. A historic house in the area, multiple design firms are assigned a room and have a competition. The public which tours the home then votes. Here are a few rooms.
  6. So you needed to come here for us to give you permission to rip it off her body? Surrender your man card now!
  7. TheEnglishRider (TER) Oh wait, she is not here. Guess it won't be a successful forum.
  8. Christmas Eve: BBQ some babyback ribs, greenbeans or baked beans, slaw, and for desert tiramisu. Christmas At my mother's. Whatever she sticks in front of me. I know ir will be good. New Years Too far in the future...just won't scratch backwards. Probably traditional. Ham, blackeye peas, rice and collards with cornbread.
  9. The national anthem... Baby It's Cold Ouside
  10. One word...Metabones But yes, I so prefer native FE mount over adapters. While I haven't check the older A mount, Sony doesn't have an FE 300 prime. I have my eyes on the 100-400, but there is a decent lens rental shop locally and will rent it a couple times before I pull the trigger
  11. They also don't play well with the forum/browsers. When typing the reply to the audiophile thread, I had to exit and come back 8 times as the forum bound up the computer, no typing response and as buffered, slowly type the last three words. Thankfully, remembers typing so didn't have to start from the beginning when I returned. Also, if I scrolled on the page was spotty gray sections blocking content. Other site pages loaded fine and didn't bind up, but reloading SW was very slow with the default theme. No problem with these alternate themes (White Christmas) loading or responding. Not computer or Internet either...Core i7 with 16GB ram and dedicated video ram. Internet Ping 23 Download 179.29 Upload 11.95.
  12. Yeah! No snowflakes or bursting bulbs.
  13. Then we better be on our best behavior. Oh wait, did we ever have "Best Behavior"?

    Weekend plans

Rainy weekend so not much outdoors. Doing a lot of housekeeping. Just double mopped (wet soapy the follow with water only) the tile floor areas (entry, kitchen and baths). Here while waiting for floors to dry before going to Target to get more cleaning stuff for shower. Getting prepared for daughter's family arrival on Tuesday through New Years. Should be clear tomorrow as deferring mowing the yard today.
  15. Eh... sonny? Did you say something?
  16. While the Yamaha and custom built DIY speakers are in the living room serving double duty - music playing vinyl and HT, the majority of time is back in the home office. Think this is overkill? Bower & Wilkins P7 headphones, my preferred listening option, and Audyssey Lower East Side with their passive radiator design sound phenomenal. B&W used wired as Bluetooth issue with this computer, but wired is better anyway. Also, a complaint about the speakers was the need to push the button to listen due to the auto-shutoff when not used. That is actually a benefit as I don't get the obnoxious pushed video ads that suddenly blare as I have to turn the sound on. Also the reason I have the headphone connected there rather than other audio ports, plus wires not dangling on floor to be destroyed as the chair rolls over them.
  17. Who sits on the shower floor? I stand.
  18. Unfortunately, it WILL fit my Sony with an adapter, but I am going the opposite end for next lens. Yesterday took product photos of a couple of lens to list on eBay which should cover about 75% the cost of the Sony 24mm 1.4. Getting rid of the 24-70 f4 zoom will take me to full prime in that range. Delaying the 400mm range but can rent it cheaply at a local camera/lens rental center for occasional usage.
  19. Now we will be able to see inside the beaks of the birds! ?
  20. One of the biggest threats to brick and mortar is not online, but manufacturer price control. While ostensibly to keep the big stores from driving out the smaller stores with aggressive pricing, the sameness tells the consumer it doesn't really matter where you buy it when it is the same price everywhere. A retailer can't have a "10% off everything in the store" as part of their business plan as they have to have a long list of "Except" in the fine print of those manufacturers who won't allow it. Worse, those same manufacturers will set up their own store in an outlet mall and undercut their own retailers.
  21. So in other words, a Pretty Woman does not appeal to you. I hear a sigh of relief from all those described as "she has a nice personality". ?
  22. I nominate Square Wheels. ?
