az_cyclist Posted March 21, 2017 Share #4 Posted March 21, 2017 Gravel route... so a CX bike, or a road bike with 28mm or 32mm tires might work?

I have done some that there were a lot of road bikes with 28mm. Others were very difficult on a cx bike. I remember one that a fat bike was the best choice but those roads hardly qualified as roads. 2 muddy tire ruts with grass in between. Deep mud and wet sand. No gravel on that one but I guess they were "roads".

Kirby Posted March 22, 2017 Share #9 Posted March 22, 2017 I've been to a nice ice cream parlor in Grand Marais. I will be happy to meet you all there after the race.
