I think they were probably surprised that the best interior d-lineman was available. Their biggest need (they got others) well into their lap. Wrong! Astronauts are heavily vetted, and they endure a rigorous selection process.

After living thru the COVID lockdowns, WoBG and I were both more than happy to go for walks, ride a bike, or go just about anywhere rather then stay inside our home. I can't imaging being inside a small spacecraft for weeks, month, or worse years. I think more than a few people could become selfish, paranoid, mean, insubordinate, not a team player at all, etc... on a long space voyage in a spacecraft. @maddmaxx I'd guess some crewmembers on a submarine on a long deployment can become stressed, etc... ? Was that a problem for some?

Do they hug mama or girlfriend first? Or dad?
