  1. Do you need us all to come out and help you move?
  2. They seem pretty well bonded, don't they? It would be hard to break them up, I think.
  3. Yeah, I laughed at it at first, and for quite a while. Sure, it was hokey, but I grew to love it!
  4. Hell, there is still time to start watching football. If you do, the draft represents hope/potential, all that stuff. It is fun to see what teams do. Except Atlanta, that was stupid.
  5. They aren't mandatory, and they can be a lot of work. Plus the incredible heartache when they get sick and die and all, I still scarred from that. Enjoy your freedom, maybe you'll want a pet when you are old and frail and such.
  6. When I first lived in Boulder, I came home from work one day to find a strange dog in the fenced-in yard playing with my dog, a super friendly pit bull named Noel. The tag also had the phone number, I called and the owners came over to collect the dog. I got the story when they were over, apparently this dog is Houdini and no fence can contain her. During the day, she just jumped into other people's yards to play with whatever dogs were there. My house was probably a quarter mile away and had a six-foot wood fence, so it would have had to jump over many fences to get in my yard. Over the next six months or so before I moved to a new place, Noel showed up in the yard another half dozen times or so. I thought it was great that my dog got to romp around with a buddy instead of just doing nothing until I came home. I usually just called the owners, but I walked the dog home once to see that they had a hugely tall wood fence that this dog apparently could easily scale/jump/parkour out of.
  7. Yeah, a Chrysler Lebaron wagon. I liked it, and I liked the fake wood, too. It looked kinda like this, but the wheels were less pimpy.
  8. In the first Planet of the Apes movie, Taylor exhibits all kinds of traits that aren't exactly the best for an astronaut. Super emotional, impulsive, egotistical, bossy, on his high horse, arrogant as hell, reactive, goes 100mph on the first thing that comes to his mind rather than calmly assessing a situation/problem. He would be the last guy I would pick as an astronaut. I do like his choice amongst the native humans, though, Nova is sexy as hell.
  9. That dude goes in depth, doesn't he?
  10. Wtf just happened with Atlanta? A qb? Just signed Kirk Cousins to a big contract, too.
  11. I read about this the other day on BRAIN. --------------------- Colorado Cyclist and Planet Cyclery promote 'closing sale' Published April 19, 2024 by Steve Frothingham BROOMFIELD, Colo. (BRAIN) — The homepage of e-commerce sites Colorado Cyclist and Planet Cyclery (which merged in late 2021) each began promoting a "Closing Sale" on their homepages this week. There are no details about the closing on the site or on the stores' social media accounts and BRAIN was not able to reach anyone at the retail operation on Friday. Colorado Cyclist was once one of the largest mail-order cycling businesses in the U.S. It was founded by Doug Bruinsma in 1979 in Estes Park, near the edge of Rocky Mountain National Park. It later moved to Colorado Springs before merging with Planet Cyclery in 2021. Planet Cyclery was founded in 2007 by David Kindrachuk, a former Johnson & Johnson scientist. At the time of the merger it claimed to be the fastest-growing online retailer of cycling parts and accessories. In addition to its e-commerce business, Planet Cyclery operated a store in Broomfield. In February 2023, private equity firm Sterling Partners announced that Paul McAfee had been appointed president of Velo USA, the parent of Colorado Cyclist and Planet Cyclery. McAfee is a veteran of Nike, Chain Reaction Cycling and Canyon Bicycles.
  12. I suppose that could be done, too. That said, this was a pure convenience play. Next time I buy fresh, I may form and freeze a burger patty for comparison. It might take me a while to finish these burgers first, though. I finished round 2 just a couple of minutes ago. This time was largely improved from not too much overcooking, this one turned out 'medium'. A little more tweaking, and I think I will have it. I do think the convenience factor is very high, you don't have to go to the store and buy burger fixings when all you really want to do is quickly make and eat something substantial. Is it gourmet? Nope. Is fast and little fuss? Yes, and that convenience might be worth it for some of you bastards, you'd have to decide that for yourselves.
  13. How many minutes until you reunite with LAJ?
