Sounds interesting.

The only oriental spices I have on hand are soy sauce and those I use for making Chinese Beef and Broccoli.

The spices I use most often are powdered garlic and dry Italian seasoning.

In terms of cooking, I don't have much. Usually I ensure I have fresh ginger root, garlic bulb and onion. I often use these 3 together,  or at least 2.

So those trio plus soy sauce, hot sauce for a nip, black bean garlic sauce/paste. I may also use some thyme, basil and coriander for certain dishes.
