Popular Post Zealot Posted June 25, 2021 Popular Post Share #1 Posted June 25, 2021 Mrs Z and I bought a project pop-up camper back in March. It’s a 98 Coleman/Fleetwood Seapine. We’ve been restoring/remodeling it for our trip this weekend. This is when we bought it: We completely stripped it down. Finished it up this week (talk about cutting it close). Here’s what it looks like now: I repaired/replaced sub flooring, flooring, and interior bed and side walls. Rewired, replumbed water and gas. Mrs Z and I stripped the cabinets and refinished them, painted. The ABS roof needed repairs. We used Grizzly Grip bed liner over the entire roof. Also has a new canvas. Mrs Z made the sleeping area curtains and completely altered the others. We picked out the color scheme and bought all the bedding, paints and flooring based on that and we’re pleased with the results. Anyway, virgin trip beginning this weekend. 😊 9

KrAzY Posted June 25, 2021 Share #9 Posted June 25, 2021 That’s awesome. We are looking at getting a camper this fall or buying a 7 window bus and converting it into a camper. It’s taken about 20 years of marriage to talk the wife into camping with me. 😂

Mrs Z has camped with me since we started dating. We’ve always done backpacking/tent camping. We’ve talked about a pop up for years. We’re aging and now was just the time. Would very much enjoy seeing what you guys get and how you convert it!

I love to tent camp, but my wife is more of the camper and not roughing it person. we are looking at an E-Pro 20BHS full solar, and 3 30gal tanks. Mostly meant for boon docking and staying off grid.

Zealot Posted June 25, 2021 Author Share #16 Posted June 25, 2021 Ok @KrAzY,I had to look up the term ‘boondocking’. Heck, that’s what wilderness backpacking is - without a camper. 😊

I drove through the desert out past the Moapa Indian Reservation in Nevada. Where we stopped, we could have stayed forever. There were no people. 😊
