MickinMD ★ Posted March 27 Share #1 Posted March 27 This 1916 baseball card from a dept. store giveaway in 1916 may bring $500,000 in an auction. Rattlecan ★ Posted March 27 Share #2 Posted March 27 Little known fact. Babe Ruth hit his first home run as a professional player in Toronto. https://www.readtheplaque.com/plaque/babe-ruth-at-hanlan-s-point 1
jsharr ★ Posted March 27 Share #3 Posted March 27 I like his candy bars even though I saw a documentary where one cause a major ruckus at a snooty country club.
ChrisL Posted March 27 Share #4 Posted March 27 I did know this and early in Shohei Ohtani’s career, there were numerous comparisons to The Babe. What we clearly came to see is that Ohtani is a much more accomplished pitcher and likely hitter but injuries seem to be hampering Ohtani’s pitching career so far and of course he doesn’t have the longevity yet to put up the big numbers The Babe did.
