    Since I got the big mower (with side discharge) I end up doing three big ovals in the back yard, confining the leaves into three long piles, real easy to get up onto a tarp to drag to the street. It's always an extended process for me - the ash and oak trees are dropping leaves fast but our big maple is still green and generally stays that way through Halloween.

    I only ever played croquet in the back yard. The grass was so uneven that once you hit the ball it was an absolute crap shoot as to where. or how far, it would go. Fun for about three minutes.

    I'll take the W, but I tip my hat to the Colts. They played very very well. Well, aside from the worst fake punt play (design and execution) I think I've ever seen.

    Check out the look of panic on that guy's face. So this is not from the play this weekend? I didn't see a highlight. That's gotta rank right down there with App State as far as low points in Big Blue history.

    Friends in town tonight and tomorrow - I think we'll have a fire in the back yard tonight. Tomorrow, a little yard work and then I'm playing music with my friends in the afternoon/evening. Sunday the kids have a karate tournament in the morning, and then hopefully I can get in a short ride in the afternoon (temps won't be much above 50).

    I love being in the woods in the fall, to be sure, but on my MTB I didn't enjoy when the leaves piled up so much I couldn't see the rocks/roots/obstacles.

    45 minutes on the trainer last night. About 65 degrees, with a light breeze (from the box fan). I probably spent 20-25 minutes at my target heart rate (over 70%).

    I always end up thinking the home clock crew is at the bottom of such things - if so it seemingly backfired on them, costing the Bolts 18 seconds for maybe a quick pass and a Hail Mary. Incredibly ballsy call to go for the win and not the tying FG. If dem Stillers failed (and they came damn close to doing so) Tomlin would be tarred and feathered.

    When you look at that photo do think it looks disgusting? I'm no Southerner but my mouth is watering looking at that. Doughy waffles, crispy salty chicken, sweet syrup.... Have four sent to my office please.
