The only place I've see it is at the Navy Commissary. They also had Yago...but I didn't see any MD.
Popular Post Tizeye Posted January 19, 2021 Author Popular Post Share #4 Posted January 19, 2021 Boones Farm has a sentimental reminder. When dating my wife, we would consume some at the drive-in. (Hey, she was a cheap date on my college budget). Next weekend wend down to my parent's house, and since mine was the last car in the driveway, I'm driving the family to church. Out from under the seat roll the empty bottles of Boones Farm. OOPS! 1

Something made me research Boone's Farm. Technically it's a malt beverage and not a wine. Gets around some state liquor laws that way. The only Navy Commissary that I visited was at Holy Loch Scotland around 1990. Interesting place.
ChrisL Posted January 19, 2021 Share #8 Posted January 19, 2021 My sisters used to drink the Boones Farm Strawberry Hill. As they were under aged and my parents were pretty strict I would see them hide the empties and toss them in the neighbors trash. This would have been in the mid 1970’s... 2

A sub tender base. Our nickname for Holy Loch was "the floating beer can." Of course, I was the Deputy Dir of the inpatient alcohol rehab program at RAF Lakenheath...and we got a lot of patients from there.
