Square Wheels Posted October 11, 2014 Author Share #3 Posted October 11, 2014 What? Heathen. Stevie Ray Vaughn. August 27, 1990 It was a long time ago, folks your age might not have those powers of recall.
Ralphie ★ Posted October 11, 2014 Share #4 Posted October 11, 2014 No. Those were the early child-rearing years where I was in almost total isolation, listening to kids tapes instead of news or pretty much anything from the outside world. I remember I was pissed that I missed the whole MTV Unplugged thing.

Was he an astronaut or something? Was he one of the bad guys in the Reagan administration? I'm pretty sure he didn't play for the Sox.

Ralphie ★ Posted October 11, 2014 Share #7 Posted October 11, 2014 Square Wave, if you liked SRV, there are plenty of people who are carrying on his memory and tradition, IMO. Robert Cray, Joe Bonnamassa, Buddy Guy, Los Lonely Boys, and many others.

No wonder that a lot of us men can't seem to understand them! Suzi is not a fan of dirty feets.
kingtermite Posted October 11, 2014 Share #11 Posted October 11, 2014 Nope. I don't even know what year it was. I didn't hear much or lean to appreciate SRV until after he was gone.

I was slightly into Double Trouble. I liked this one a lot, from 1986. I had/have it on vinyl.

Road Runner Posted October 11, 2014 Share #16 Posted October 11, 2014 I don't remember where I was when any entertainer has ever died. They aren't that important. I remember where I was and all of the details when my Dad died and when my Mom died. Also, when JFK was assassinated and when the twin towers were attacked. That's about it. Ralphie ★ Posted October 11, 2014 Share #19 Posted October 11, 2014 Most often for public figures I am either listening to the radio, watching TV, or these days, on the computer, or at work. That aboot covers it.
