Randomguy Posted October 24, 2013 Share #5 Posted October 24, 2013 Ugh, drink more? Yeah, you need liquid to put in that, only then will your hydration problems get addressed, if only slightly.
Dirtyhip Posted October 24, 2013 Author Share #6 Posted October 24, 2013 Ugh, drink more? The hose always freezes. Very tough to deal with. Especially, where I may be moving. Think deep freeze!

Nate Posted October 24, 2013 Share #8 Posted October 24, 2013 take your water bottle. Use Gatorade mix. The sugar and salt will lower the freezing point. If you are going to be oput long enough to freeze a water bottle solid, then you probably have more survival issues to contend with than hydration i would address your need for shelter and fire

Maybe, something from Hammernutrition would work for this..
Nate Posted October 24, 2013 Share #10 Posted October 24, 2013 There is no way I am putting gatorade in my body. Maybe, something from Hammernutrition would work for this.. whatever. a little yellow dye #3 never hurt anybody the point is that you can lower the freezing point of water by raising the molarity of the solution. Drinking from a water botle and not a hose helps you thermodynamically. The hose freezes because its a small volume of fluid, so less time is needed to lower the solution temperature this is all basic science. Even stupid rednecks like myself know this stuff
