JerrySTL ★ Posted March 3 Share #2 Posted March 3 There were a lot of them where I lived in England. I saw one a few years ago on the Katy Trail in Missouri of all places. At first, I thought it was a wild turkey, but as I got closer, I saw that it was a peacock. It ran towards a farm. I remember hearing that they are pretty good 'watch birds' and will cause a ruckus if anyone strange gets near their home. 2
maddmaxx ★ Posted March 3 Share #3 Posted March 3 It was the mascot of our local elementary school as a flock used to live there. They wandered the courtyard during the day and slept in a large tree next to the school at night. The one above in the pic should be named Rapunzel. 1 1

Airehead Posted March 4 Share #6 Posted March 4 They are not the smartest critters. When I was younger, we had two. One killed himself fighting his image in a hub cap. 2
