So,I’m approximately 21 hours behind in my assignments.

I don’t think I can sustain scoring student work for longer than three hours at a time. I’m going to need seven straight days of three hour blocks of time to catch up. And no new assignments in the meantime.

Grades are due next Wednesday.

I should probably retire.

Screw that.  Pick a distribution curve, shuffle the stack of papers, and use the grade next in line on the curve. BOOM!  Three hours??? Try three minutes!

You're welcome.

It’s true. After three assignments, the curve rarely changes.

I grew up thinking that 12 hour work days were normal and that was back in the last century when classes were smaller.

Isn't that to make up for all the vacation time - especially the Summer?????  If you average it out, it's gotta be like 6 hour work days - and only if they are taking it seriously.

Welcome to the world of teachers who take their job seriously.  My mother was a teacher and a principal.  I grew up thinking that 12 hour work days were normal and that was back in the last century when classes were smaller.

Right?

This is typical for me. If I don’t read student work for at least three hours a day, I fall behind.
