Square Wheels Posted January 12, 2015 Share #1 Posted January 12, 2015 My Google Chrome at work is redirecting me to this page, the URL looks legit, but I can't imagine any bank, even Bank of America (whom I hate more than lawyers) asking for this info. On the same PC IE works fine. At home Chrome works fine. How do I fix this? I ran MalwareBytes, and it's still there. This can't be real.

az_cyclist Posted January 12, 2015 Share #3 Posted January 12, 2015 does it pull up that page each time you open the browser or a new page? You might check Tools, Extensions. You may need to delete one. Definitely spyware, at best

Square Wheels Posted January 12, 2015 Author Share #6 Posted January 12, 2015 I've tried some of those. Now it happens in IE too. I will try a couple more and then I fear IS will take it away and rebuild it. That's always a pain.

Square Wheels Posted January 13, 2015 Author Share #10 Posted January 13, 2015 Find a known good restore point? I love you, will you marry me? I have a ton of software installed on this PC, it would be a huge pain if it were rebuilt. For now the restore seems to have worked, I fear it was a virus and it will return though. Square Wheels Posted January 13, 2015 Author Share #12 Posted January 13, 2015 Just enter the data they're requesting. I tried, at least with fake data, and it was rejected. These are picky data thieves.
