MickinMD ★ Posted April 5 Share #1 Posted April 5 I seldom shop in a Giant Food supermarket, so the same old loyalty card I got probably before the 2008 Great Recession had not worn out and I always get the "Your loyalty card has been accepted!" greeting when I hold the code up to the self-checkout reader. It worked today, but I noticed a little crack in its upper right corner (at left below, crack enhanced by holding a piece of paper in it). So I went to customer service and they said, "No problem. A new one will be in the mail and reach you in 3-4 weeks. Meanwhile, keep using your old card." But they couldn't find any record of my old card's registration! So I was asked, "Want a new card?" "Sure! That works for me!" So here's the old card at left with a pretty picture of food. Unfortunately there's no collector's value I know of! And at right are the plain, new wallet and keychain cards.

BuffJim Posted April 6 Share #6 Posted April 6 I went to card my Wegmans card replaced today. Turns that the phone number on file was for a house I moved from in 1996. Talk about a loyal customer. I guess now I do the phone number in keypad, too.

I give them my phone number at each LGS and do not have to touch a keypad,
